Terms of Service

Buy Me a Chijji lets creators receive tips from supporters. Supporters pick a virtual snack (a “chijji”) with a set rupee value, and the creator receives that money. Chijjis are a fun way to show a tip amount; they are not physical goods and have no value outside the service.

We are currently in early access. Features, pricing and availability may change, and some features described on the site are still being built.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Give accurate details and keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us straight away at hello@buymeachijji.com if you think your account has been compromised.
• Creator handles are first come, first served. We may reclaim a handle that impersonates someone or is inactive.

• Tips are voluntary gifts to a creator. They do not buy goods, services or any right to a creator’s time.
• Payments are processed by a licensed payment partner, and their terms also apply.
• Tips are generally non-refundable. We may reverse a tip for fraud, an unauthorised payment or a legal requirement.
• Creators are responsible for any taxes on what they receive. We may need your PAN and bank or UPI details before paying out, and may hold payouts while we complete verification.
• Fees are shown before you sign up. Founding creators get 0% platform fees for their first year, as described on the homepage. Payment partner charges may still apply.

You must not use Buy Me a Chijji to:

• break any law, or collect money for illegal goods, services or activities;
• impersonate someone or mislead supporters about who you are or where their money goes;
• post hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or violent content, including in tip messages;
• launder money, test stolen cards or UPI IDs, or otherwise commit fraud;
• probe, overload or break the service, or access accounts that are not yours.

You own what you post, such as your profile and tip messages. You give us a licence to host and display it so the service works, for example showing a supporter’s message on a creator’s page. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@buymeachijji.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put supporters, creators or the service at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why and pay out any funds you are owed, unless the law requires us to hold them.

The service is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of India, subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law.
